Peter Cavelti Peter Cavelti was born and educated in Switzerland. His background as a business executive and writer spans more than 35 years and four continents. After arriving in North America, he spent more than a decade with Guardian Trustco, a Canadian banking group, where he was in charge of the firm's international division and its investment management activities. In 1982, he became President and Chief Executive officer of Guardian Trustco International. Later, as Chairman of his own firm, Cavelti Capital Management Ltd., he managed in excess of a billion dollars in mutual fund, pension fund, and private client portfolios.

Peter Cavelti is also the author of several internationally published non-fiction books and an acclaimed novel. His numerous essays and comments on investment and socio-political issues have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, The Financial Times, the Financial Post, The Globe and Mail and other leading publications.

Peter Cavelti has served as a director of many public and private corporations in North America and abroad. He was also active in the public sector, most notably as an advisor to the Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario.
