| Dear Reader: It is with regret that I inform you that I will no
longer be writing Perspectives. Life has other plans for me, which include my consulting
work, completing another novel and spending more time with my family.
Some readers have used Perspectives and its predecessor publications for more than
25 years; many others joined in after our web service was initiated. I want to thank all
of you for considering my views. I hope that theyve contributed to your
understanding of politics, the economy and investing and allowed you to see things in a
global context. As you know, Perspectives has been a free servicein lieu of a
subscription fee, Ive encouraged users to contribute to charity. To those of you who
did so, a special word of thanks. Keep giving!
As a parting gift, I have written a summary of where I believe the world is headed
in the short term and how the next ten to twenty years will unfold. (To access it, go to
our Research pages.) I would like to complement my blueprint to the future with three
recommendations:
|
-Position yourself for the big trend and ignore the little
squiggles; |
|
-Wherever you invest, buy top quality; and |
|
-Diversify sufficiently to avoid major losses due to one bad
investment. |
Having said that, I wish all of you health, success and the leisure to enjoy them
both!
With kind regards,

Peter Cavelti
